The Times Picayune selects the assisted living/memory care provider as a Top Workplace for the second year in a row.
NEW ORLEANS, LA – (3/20/16) – Schonberg and Associates was honored as a 2016 Top Workplace for the second year in a row by The Times-Picayune and NOLA.com. The Top Workplaces are selected solely based upon the results of employee surveys conducted among all employees. Several aspects of workplace culture are measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection, just to name a few.
In addition to being honored as a Top Workplace again, Schonberg and Associates was also selected out of all of the midsize Top Workplaces as the #1 Midsize Employer in the Greater New Orleans area. Schonberg and Associates CFO Stuart Coleman accepted the award on behalf of the company, and attributes employee satisfaction to Schonberg’s unique culture, calling it a place where “you walk in and you feel a sense of home and belonging.”
“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits.” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day—the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together.”
Schonberg & Associates is the owner and operator of 11 independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities throughout Louisiana, South Carolina, and Mississippi, including Vista Shores in New Orleans, Ashton Manor in Luling, and Park Provence in Slidell. Schonberg & Associates recently developed and designed Beau Provence, the only memory care exclusive community in the greater New Orleans area and recipient of the Dementia Care Specialists’ national Distinguished Provider Award, which recognizes communities that provide exceptional person-centered care. Owner and managing partner David Schonberg founded Schonberg & Associates in 2001 because of his deep-seated belief that every senior has the right to a quality of life that allows them to thrive and find joy and purpose in every day. He looks forward to continuing to provide the Greater New Orleans area with the highest quality of senior living and care, stating that “Schonberg & Associates’ expertise and vision is at the forefront of our industry, and we are committed to continuing to redefine the standard of excellence in senior living.”
