The Times Picayune selects the assisted living/memory care provider as a Top Workplace for the second year in a row.

Schonberg and Associated expands to South Carolina

In an effort to grow the Schonberg Assisted Living and Memory Care concept beyond its roots in Louisiana and Mississippi, the company announced the acquisition of two Assisted Living communities in South Carolina—Magnolias of Anderson and Magnolias of Summerville.

The expansion marks the first phase in the company’s plan to expand throughout the southeast. Schonberg & Associates developed The Suites at Sugar Mill Point in Houma, Louisiana and Alden Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care in Hattiesburg, Mississippi from the ground up, and is now diversifying by applying its successful management concept to already-existing communities. 

Both communities boast 50 impressive apartments and provide personalized care programs for residents at various levels of the aging process—including home-cooked meals, tailored activities programs, transportation and religious services. 

Owner David Schonberg hopes the company’s demonstrated expertise at its previous communities can help the already-impressive Magnolias properties to become the most outstanding senior care communities in their respective areas.
